Objective
The objective of "Money! Maybe Money?" is to be the first player to accumulate three coins. Players earn coins by drawing cards from the "Money!" deck and successfully rolling the dice to keep cards from the "Maybe Money?" deck.
Setup
- Shuffle the "Money!" deck and the "Maybe Money?!" deck separately.
- Place the decks face down on the table within easy reach of all players.
- Determine the first player by rolling the dice, with the highest roll going first.
Gameplay
- On their turn, a player draws the top card from the "Money!" deck and adds the value of the card to their total.
- The player then draws the top card from the "Maybe Money?" deck and rolls the three dice.
- If the total of the dice is greater than or equal to the value of the card, the player keeps the card and adds its value to their total. Otherwise, they discard the card and it is placed on the bottom of the "Maybe Money?!" deck.
- If the total of the dice is EXACTLY the value of the card, the player gets to keep that card and draw an additional "Maybe Money?!" card. Repeat step 3.
- If a player's total value from the cards reaches or exceeds 50 dollars, they may exchange their cards for one coin. No change is given! Try to get as close to 50 as possible with the cards you have.
- Play passes to the left.
Special Cards
There are two special cards in the Maybe Money?! deck. When drawn, these cards may be saved for later. The "Re-Roll" card may be saved and played later after an unsuccessful roll. The "Pay-Roll" card is an automatic payout! Play this card immediately after a Maybe Money?! draw to automatically succeed at the dice roll for that card.
Winning the game
- The first player to accumulate three coins wins the game.
- If there is a tie for the most coins, the tied players roll the dice to determine the winner. The player with the highest roll wins the game.
